Watch Movement

Like a lot of watches in this price range, this timepiece utilized a Japanese Quartz movement.

This type of movement is known worldwide for its accuracy, convenience, and affordability.

Unlike their mechanical counterparts, Quartz movements don’t need to be rewound, nor do they lose a couple of seconds every day.

Quartz watches are powered by a battery, and because of this, you can rest assured that your watch will be accurate to the second and would only need adjustments every couple of months.

And the best part is, new batteries can last you up to four years so you won’t have to worry about constant trips to your local watch repair shop with this watch!

Dial & Crystal

Skagen 456SSS dial

The dial on this watch is pure class.

For starters, the background on this watch is silver-colored, which gives the dial a nice neutral base.

To add a bit of class to the silver background are the Swarovski crystal hour markers, which shine beautifully while also allowing for an easy read of the time.

The easy reading of the time can also be attributed to the polished, silver-colored sword hands which stand out enough for you to read the time, while also elegantly blending with the dial’s tones.

On top of the dial, you have a mineral crystal that is known for its toughness.

Case & Crown

Skagen 456SSS on wrist

A stainless steel case is to be expected from a watch in this price range, but that is far from a problem.

Stainless steel cases do a great job of protecting the watch and don’t irritate the skin (especially those with sensitive skin).

The case on this watch is round and measures 25mm in diameter, and 5.5mm in width.

These are standard dimensions for women’s watches, and aids in giving the watch an air of femininity and class that can be hard to find nowadays.

The crown is also made of stainless steel and looks simple and beautiful situated at the 3 o’clock position of the watch.

Bezel

The bezel on this watch is stationary, so don’t expect any extra functions.

However, the bezel is made of textured stainless steel which frames the dial perfectly.

The bezel can be largely overlooked as it usually doesn’t serve any extra function, however, it will only take one look at this watch to realize how important a bezel can be to a watch’s design.

Strap & Buckle

The strap that comes with this watch is a beautiful mesh stainless steel strap with a lug width of 12mm, the perfect size for a women’s watch.

The texture on the strap compliments all the classy aspects of the watch in the best way possible.

Add that to the fold-over-clasp with safety to ensure the watch doesn’t slip off, and this watch becomes an even better timepiece.

Water Resistance

Watches like this aren’t supposed to be worn in the pool or when doing intense water activities like diving, but that doesn’t mean that this watch isn’t water-resistant.

The watch comes with 30m (100ft) of water resistance so it can be worn in the shower, when washing hands, and withstand any splash possible.

Conclusion

Women’s watches have a type of elegance and class that simply can’t be matched by most men’s watches.

The way the crystals shine on the dial, or the way the mesh strap looks on the wrist make this piece a must-have for those looking for a nice dress watch.
