Women’s watches are the perfect manifestation of class, femininity, style, and functionality.
While there are some watches that can combine all four of those features seamlessly, finding a watch that has all of those that won’t leave a huge dent in your bank account is a totally different story.
Luckily, Skagen has released a beautiful two-tone timepiece which is as elegant as it is practical.
We take a close look at this watch in this Skagen 358SGSCD review.

Watch Movement
To start things out, this watch uses a Japanese Quartz movement that is famous all around the world for its accuracy and its affordability.
Quartz movements have a special knack for keeping time like no other movement.
This is because instead of a collection of springs powering the watch, it’s a battery, and because of that you will only have to adjust the time every couple of months.
And you will only have to visit the watch repair shop to replace the battery (which can last up to four years).
Dial & Crystal
For a lot of people, the dial is what makes the watch, and luckily for those people, Skagen has used all their powers to craft this amazing dial.
The dial uses a white background, which contrasts perfectly with the crystal hour markers that make reading time an incredibly easy task.

To make everything more elegant, the hands are gold-colored polished stainless steel, which stands out and really makes the dial beautiful, while contrasting the background in a way to make reading the time easier.
Below the 12 o’clock position is the expertly placed Skagen logo, and above the whole dial is a mineral crystal to protect the whole thing.
Case & Crown
The case of this watch is something else. It’s a round case made of gold-tone plated stainless steel that measures 26mm in diameter, which is my favorite size for a women’s watch.
The case makes the watch look great on an average woman’s wrist by not being too large or too small, and the color matches the dial perfectly.
The crown shares the same color as the case and is just the right size for easy adjustment and comfort on the wrist.
Bezel

The watch has a stainless steel stationary bezel.
While the bezel serves no extra function like on a diver’s or aviator’s watch, but it shares the same color as the case, while also being mirrored.
So expect a lot of shine and glamour from this watch’s bezel.
Strap & Buckle
The first thing you’ll notice on this watch is how it’s two-toned.
The other tone comes from the watch’s mesh stainless steel strap that’s colored silver.
This silver color contrasts so well with the gold-colored case and gold details on the dial, and the lug width of 13.5mm is the perfect complement to the watch.
On the wrist, the strap feels very comfortable, and the fold-over-clasp with safety secures the watch strongly on the wrist.
Water Resistance
A dress watch such as this shouldn’t be expected to have the same water resistance as outdoor and utility watches.
However, the 30m (100ft) of water-resistance on this watch allows you to wear it when taking a shower, washing your hands, or even taking a slight dip in the pool.
It’s not advisable to use this watch when swimming or doing more intense water activities like diving or snorkeling.
Wrapping Up
A nice, classy, and elegant dress watch is the perfect complement to your best formal wear.
Watches like this look great paired with your best cocktail dress or even a nice gown, it all depends on your preference and how you style yourself.
But for those looking for a quality dress watch and a practical price, look no further than this expertly crafted piece by Skagen.
