You know what?
If you desire a stylish, professional-looking, and affordable Quartz watch, the BN0151-09L should be a worthy consideration.
It’s very similar to its stablemate BN0150-28E in terms of the solid stainless steel case, bold look, sturdy polyurethane strap, solar-powered movement, and other features desirable.
Table of contents
And in this Citizen BN0151-09L review, I will tell you what you can expect from this timepiece.
Let’s get started.
- Iconic Promaster watches with advanced functions designed to venture to the deepest depths.
- 3 Hand, Date
- Silver-Tone Stainless Steel
Stylish Blue Dial

The watch does look attractive with its unique blue dial. The plain background makes viewing the silver time hour markers and hands much easier.
The hands have some decent lume as well. The only difference between the BN0151-09L and the BN0150-28E is that the other one comes with a black dial.
All the markers except the 12, 3, 6, and 9 come in bold round circles. You also get the Citizen name inscribed below the 12 o’clock hour marker and the italicized eco-drive and resistance value above the 6 o’clock point.
Fancy Solid Blue Polyurethane Diving Strap
The timepiece relies on a solid looking polyurethane strap to hold the case together. It’s moderately wide and has a rugged exterior.
This brings out a bold appeal too. The inner side is fairly flat and also has smooth edges to prevent a rough feel or digging into the skin. The lug width is 19mm which is pretty decent for a man’s watch.
The strap is secured via stainless steel clasp/ buckle. It’s very flexible and also less prone to sticking to the skin or creating a sweaty patch. One great aspect about it is that it has no-decompression limits for diving. The strap is still what you get in theBN0150-28E.
The only exception is that it’s black instead of blue.
Slim Stainless Steel Case
With a thickness of 12mm, the watch can be said to be fairly slim. This contributes to its slim profile which works perfectly on many occasions.
And since it’s less exposed, its less skillet to be banged, abrased, or bumped ageists other objects. The diameter, however, can be said to be in the large range since it measures 43 mm.
To sort of mask the bulky nature and weight, it comes with relatively short lug length.
It’s made of stainless steel and should bear the regular use, accidental bangs & abrasion, moisture, dirt, and other things well. And with a water resistance of 200meters/ 660 feet, it should be okay to take a bath, shower, or walk in the rain with.
Simple Stainless Steel Bezel
Citizen has kept the watch simple and also functional. The bezel looks sturdy and just like the case, it’s made of stainless steel.
It has several markings for extra beauty. The polished finish handles grease, oil, dust, and other things well. However, it can get scratch marks if handled roughly.
You find 10-minute increments which are in Arabic. Also, there are rectangular markings at every 5-minute interval. And For every minute interval, you get small circles. These make reading easier and improve the overall appearance.
Conclusion
This is a great looking watch and is also very functional. The size, weight, and accuracy are also good. The quartz unit runs via the solar-powered eco-drive and has good water resistance and is very comfortable.
I’m almost certain that this timepiece won’t disappoint you. However, if you want to check out another brand, try Invicta.
