Citizen BM8475-26E Review – Eco-Drive Faux-Leather Strap Watch

This Citizen BM8475-26E watch shares lots of similarities with the older BM8475-00F.

However, it’s more improved and effective.

The dial and the numbers are more visible courtesy of the darker background and lighter markers.

The military styled piece targets users in search of a durable, rugged-looking analog watch.

In the Citizen BM8475-26E review, we will take a brief look at its key features.

Citizen Eco-Drive GarrisonQuartz Mens Watch, Stainless Steel...
  • Round watch featuring luminous hands, Arabic/stick indices, and day/date window at 3 o'clock
  • 42 mm stainless steel case with mineral black dial window
  • Japanese quartz movement with analog display

Alluring Black Dial With Orange Markers

The dial is more improved compared to earlier models. It comes with a black dial and the markers and numbers are in a sort of luminous orange.

It looks much clearer when measured up to the white and olive-green tone. The 12, 3, 6, and 9-hour markers are in Arabic while the rest come in bold black sticks with orange ends.

The face also includes 24-hour markers in orange color. They are however much smaller than the 12-hour ones.

The date/ day window is at the 3 O’clock point and comes in black digit on a bold white background.

The Citizen name, as well as Eco-Drive, is also evident.

Smooth Japanese Quartz Movement

The timepiece sports the famous Japanese quartz movement. It gets good vibes for being accurate and most users state that it’s always within specs.

Analysts say that it has a small margin of error of not more than 25 seconds in a month.

The mechanism runs all the 3 hands as well as the date/calendar. Being electronically operated via light, this watch needs no winding, movement, or shaking.

Also, it doesn’t have a battery and is also among the simplest to maintain.

Precise Analog Display

Launched into the market back in 2012, this timepiece still enjoys positive comments in regards to its precision.

The hands move effortlessly and never seem to struggle even when the watch is held at awkward angles, for instance, upside down. And similar to pieces in a similar class, it’s noiseless and fairly accurate. This is also so evident with the date/ colander function.

The display is analog and has a classic appeal. It has reliable clarity even in poorly lit surroundings. The lume on the numbers, hands, and markers does play a big part in this.

Black Military Themed Stainless Steel Case

The military theme is evident in the timepiece. The moderately sized stainless steel case comes in black color. This also is seen in the crown and the bezel. It has a kind of matte finish to give it a more rugged appeal.

The case comes in a basic round shape and lacks fancy detailing. Simple a lightly polished finish. The bold and masculine look is brought about by the color combination, tough-looking case, and the 42mm diameter.

To complete the appearance, it features light brown leather straps. It should be a good pick for casual and formal wear too.

Our Thoughts

Anyone looking for a military-style or rugged looking piece will find this watch a great choice. It still is a decent choice for normal casual wear.

The unit looks tough and solid and operating it is fairly easy. The analog display is clear and the precision is on point. For good strength and reliability, it relies on the stainless steel case and durable leather straps.
