Casio Edifice Review: Best Casio Edifice Watches in 2021

So,

Are you still thinking about buying a new Casio Edifice watch?

Then you should take a look at my comparison table below first.

Then, if you’re serious about investing in a new Edifice watch, then I highly recommend you read my short reviews after the table also.

They will outline the main selling points of the 10 currently top-rated Casio Edifice watches, and why people (including me) love them so much.

So, let’s get started.

1. EF527D-1AV

Casio Men's EF527D-1AV "Edifice" Stainless Steel...
  • Silver-tone watch featuring left-handed crown and black dial with 1/20-second chronograph function, slide-rotating inner bezel,...
  • 45.5 mm stainless steel case with mineral dial window
  • Quartz movement with analog display

Pilot-style watches have never been my favorite type of watch.

They always seemed too complicated and difficult to read.

And this is mostly because of the organization of the dial and sub-dials, but this watch is a definite exception.

The dial has a lot going on, with three sub-dials for the chronograph that can measure up to 1/20th of a second, a slide rotating inner bezel (which is common for pilot’s watches), and a date window.

Yet despite everything on the dial, it still looks very organized and allows you to read time very easily.

Which is probably my favorite feature since I’ve found myself having a hard time reading the dial on complicated pilot’s watches before.

For those who love watches with a classic design and a lot of functions, this watch belongs on your list.

2. EF106D-2AV

Casio EF106D-2AV Casio 100M Water Res. Watch
  • Stainless steel watch featuring round blue dial with date window between four and five o'clock, luminous hands, and triple-row...
  • Mineral crystal dial window
  • Features fold-over clasp and decorative indents on bezel

Sometimes, it’s better to keep things simple, which is why this beautiful Casio piece instantly caught my eye.

With its beautiful blue dial with luminous hands, a classic stainless steel case, and the nice details on the watch’s stationary bezel.

The watch’s simplicity makes reading the time incredibly convenient, and Casio followed the theme of convenience even in the watch’s movement.

This piece utilizes a solar-powered quartz movement, which keeps the watch incredibly accurate.

And it eliminates the need for you to go to your local watch repair shop to replace the battery when the watch stops ticking.

Those who love straight-forward, simple, and beautiful watches, need to keep a close eye on this piece.

3. EF305-1AV

Casio Men's EF305-1AV Edifice Multifunction Watch With Black...
  • Sport watch with black dial featuring chronograph subdials, luminous hands and hour markers, and 60-second outer dial indices
  • 41 mm stainless steel case with mineral dial window
  • Quartz movement with analog display

With the rise of all these different smartwatches and fitness trackers, the sports watch is slowly losing its popularity, which is a shame since these watches have some of my favorite designs.

However, Casio is keeping the flame alive with this sporty, classy, and stylish timepiece.

The watch has a black dial with luminous hands, which create a simple, yet captivating contrast, with three perfectly placed sub-dials that display date, day, and 24-hour time.

The case is made of stainless steel, giving it the durability you’d want in a sports watch, while the black resin band makes sure that the watch stays on for however long you need.

Those looking for a flexible watch that’s both fashionable and functional won’t have to look much further than this piece.

4. EF558D-1AV

Casio Men's EF558D-1AV Silver Stainless-Steel Quartz Watch...
  • 1-Second Stopwatch
  • Day & Date Display
  • Regular Timkeeping

There have been certain watches that I’ve encountered throughout my life that seem to have a personality of their own, and this piece is one of them.

The unique dial design, the color choices for the details, and the stainless steel case all make the watch look very unique and very tough.

On the dial are sub-dials for the chronograph, date and day window, and tachymeter.

All of these features blend perfectly with the gray textured background chosen for the dial.

The case measures 49mm in diameter, making this a fairly large men’s watch, which has slowly become the norm nowadays.

And it also gives off a very strong look, pair that with the 100m of water resistance, and this watch becomes the perfect piece for those who love watches with a tough and masculine design.

5. EFA119BK-1AV

Casio Men's EFA119BK-1AV Ana-Digi Edifice Stainless Steel...
  • Stainless steel watch featuring black ana-digi dial with EL backlight, alarm, lap time, and stopwatch
  • 38 mm stainless steel case with mineral dial window
  • Quartz movement with analog-digital display

This is one of the most standout pieces in the Edifice collection in my opinion.

This Ana-Digi watch’s dial is designed in a very unique way.

Instead of having two separate sections on the dial, Casio used the digital screen as the background of the dial, with silver analog stick markers and red details.

At first glance, I thought that reading the time would be a pretty hard task on this watch, however, the way everything is placed makes it surprisingly easy.

The watch has an alarm, stopwatch, EL backlight, countdown timer, world time, temperature display, an auto-calendar, and 12/24-hour formats.

It’s pretty obvious that this piece is a true workhorse with all its features, and on top of all that, it’s water-resistant up to 100m, meaning you can bring it with you while you shower, wash your hands, and even for a light swim.

This a great watch for those who love the features of a digital watch, but also love the aesthetic quality of an analog one.

6. EF-550D-1AVDF-WW

Casio General Men's Watches Edifice EF-550D-1AVDF - WW
  • Precise Japan Quartz Movement
  • Stainless Steel Case and Band, Push Button Rlease Clasp
  • Mineral Crystal, Date Display, Luminous Hands and Markers, Chronograph Function

The name of this watch is pretty intricate, but it’s nothing compared to the actual watch.

This bulky timepiece from the Edifice collection features a chronograph that measures up to 1/20th of a second, date display, and luminous hands and markers.

All of this laid out perfectly on the dial, which also blends perfectly with the black tachymeter bezel on this piece.

However, my personal favorite part of this watch has to be the case. because not only is it stainless steel, it’s octagon-shaped.

Which is a great breath of fresh air with all the round case watches that have been the staple since watches were invented.

This watch is powered by a Japanese Quartz movement, known for its accuracy and practicality, and is water resistant up to 100m.

If you’re looking for something new in a watch, this piece is definitely worth your consideration.

7. EF539D-1A2

Casio Men's EF539D-1A2 Edifice Stainless Steel Analog Black...
  • Stainless steel case and bracelet; black dial
  • Luminous markers and hour hands
  • Chronograph; tachymeter; date display

This is one of the best designs I’ve seen from Casio so far.

The classic round stainless steel case and strap give this watch a timeless feel, while the blue bezel and intricate dial design make this watch look as modern as ever.

Finding a combination like this is quite difficult, especially with all the classic watch trend that’s been going around.

The dial has a grey textured background with luminous stick markers and hour hands, a date display, and three sub-dials for the chronograph function.

This watch is also water-resistant up to 100m, so you can surely bring this on your next trip to the beach, or wear it during your morning shower.

This watch is a simple, casual, and modern piece (even if it has some classic element), so if you’re looking for a nice everyday piece, make sure to check out this great watch.

8. EF-550D-7AVDF-WW

Casio General Men's Watches Edifice EF-550D-7AVDF - WW
  • Movement:Quartz
  • Case Diameter (mm.):47
  • Case Thickness (mm.):13 mm

You may have noticed that this watch’s name is almost identical to the 6th one on this list, with the exception of one letter.

This is because these watches are basically identical, except for the colorway.

They share all the same features, the octagon-shaped case, tachymeter, and dial design.

However, this version comes in a classy silver colorway for the case and strap, while using a cream-colored background for the dial with silver details.

If you liked the 6th item on the list, but you’re looking for something a bit louder, this watch is the one for you.

9. EFR-545SBPB-1BVCF

Casio Men's EFR-545SBPB-1BVCF Edifice Tough Solar Black...
  • Stainless steel black watch with solar-powered battery featuring chronograph functions, stop watch, and date display
  • 44 mm stainless steel case with mineral dial window
  • Quartz movement with analog display

I love watches with black colorways, and I strongly believe they can make the best everyday watch.

Because of their color, they can match with almost any kind of color combination and any outfit.

This watch is exactly that: a modern-looking watch that comes in a beautiful black color.

The watch uses a bunch of different shades throughout the whole watch, with the dial background being very close to gray.

On the dial are three sub-dials placed perfectly for you to easily use the chronograph function, but by far the best part of this watch is that it’s a quartz watch that doesn’t require a battery change.

This is because the watch is powered completely by solar power.

This is made possible by the solar panel placed on the dial.

So if you hate it when you have to replace the battery of your watch (like I do), make sure to put this one on your wishlist.

10. EF106SG-2AV

Casio Men's EF106SG-2AV Edifice Two-Tone Stainless Steel...
  • Two-tone bracelet watch featuring blue sunray dial with luminous hands, date window, and 10-year battery
  • 37-mm stainless steel case with mineral dial window
  • Quartz movement with analog display

This watch is a testament to Casio’s mastery of colorways.

The watch has a gold-colored bezel, and two-tone (gold and silver) bracelet, that looks stunning.

But to complete the design is the beautiful blue dial with gold markers and hands.

The most unique feature on this watch has to be the battery though.

The watch uses Japanese Quartz, so you can rest assured knowing that your watch will stay accurate.

And Casio has found a way to put a battery that can last up to 10 years, meaning that you don’t have to worry about the watch just stopping on you anytime soon.

This is a very classy piece.

That’s also flexible enough to be worn casually and formally, highly recommended for those who are looking for versatile watches to add to their collection.
