Bulova Accutron 63A102 Kirkwood Review: Swiss Automatic Mens Watch

You know what,

If you’re on the lookout out for a classy timepiece that works with both casual and formal wear, then the Bulova Accutron 63A102 Kirkwood may be the watch for you.

It features the Sellita SW200, which is a Swiss Automatic movement that Bulova and other brands use to make quality automatic watches.

Along with that is a beautiful stainless steel case that measures 41mm, which is ideal for both large and small wrists.

The watch also features a semi-skeleton dial with a lot of subtle yet beautiful details.

We get into these details and more in this Bulova Kirkwood review.

  • Case diameter flexible enough for both large and small wrists

Loud And Classy Design

I do not have anything against skeleton watches.

There’s almost nothing to hate about these designs, whether they’re semi-skeleton or full-skeleton.

The watch’s dial is an interesting partial skeleton design that adds a whole lot of class.

Right below the 12 o’clock position is a beautiful blend of the Bulova tuning fork logo and a transparent portion that displays one of the 26 jewels used in this movement, but more on the jewels later.

The combination of white and gunmetal tones on the hands contrasts the white dial and silver markers very nicely, providing great contrast for easy time reading.

All of that is placed on a 41mm case which is a goldilocks size, working with both large and small wrists.

This bright watch would be a great compliment to a suit or with a nice smart-casual outfit.

Premium Swiss-Made Movement

It’s generally accepted in the horology world that anything Swiss made is of high quality.

While that may seem like a bold statement, the Swiss do have the products to back it up.

A great example is the movement used in this watch.

The Sellita SW200 is an automatic movement that is Swiss made.

It has 26-jewels that help it keep accurate time.

After four weeks, the watch gained about 20 seconds. This is very good for an automatic movement, especially one at this price.

So not only will you not have to worry about manual rewinding and battery changes as this movement can also keep accurate time for a while before needing adjustment.

High-Quality Materials

Another great thing about this watch is the materials that they used in making it.

For starters, there’s an anti-reflective sapphire crystal protecting the dial.

This is something I really appreciate, as the dial on this watch has a great looking design, and it would be a shame if the crystal gets scratched.

However, this specific crystal is one of the strongest materials in the world, so scratches aren’t something you have to worry about.

To add to that is a stainless steel case and bracelet.

While the bracelet may need to be adjusted as it arrives pretty loose, it shines very nicely.

It also blends perfectly with the case and dial, making this watch as strong as it is stylish.

  • Swiss-made automatic movement
  • 41mm case
  • Stainless steel case and bracelet

Customer Scores And Reviews

I had to check if I was the only person satisfied with this watch.

Going on the Amazon review section, I found out that I wasn’t.

Dozens of positive reviews filled up the section.

A lot of the reviews left said a lot about the quality of the watch.

There was one reviewer who even said he’d put this watch up against any stainless steel Rolex.

However, there was one complaint that stood out.

It was from a customer saying the bracelet needed a lot of adjustment.

This is common with a lot of watches, as they usually deliver the bracelet a bit loose.

This is no problem though, as adjusting the bracelet to make it smaller is a very easy task.

Conclusion

This watch brings a lot of positivity to the table.

This is because of its bright design, its high-quality movement, and of course, the price it comes at.

This is a watch that has incredible value for its price.

So for those looking for a flexible, high-quality timepiece, then I highly recommend you check out the Bulova Kirkwood.
